SITTING ON THE DOCK OF LAKE WILLY

NEW PHOTO. :) Yesterday, after a long day of trying to entertain Miss Paige - I was exhausted. We decided to take a little wagon ride and instead of riding up and down Lanman Drive like usual, we took the wagon down around the house to the backyard. We sat in our adirondack chairs on the dock - Paige loves to sit in chairs now - and all of a sudden like 40 ducks landed in the canal at once. Paige sat in her chair for almost ten minutes straight watching the ducks swim around and bathe themselves. I swear at one point she repeated me when I said "quack quack." I totally forgot about being tired and was so amazed by how interested in the ducks she was. Normally, Paige is quite the busy body and is in constant motion and for the first time that day, she just sat and watched in complete content. FINALLY, a moment of peace! Then I spoke too soon and we were back in the wagon! There are days that I think about being in my little cubicle back at Hour Detroit slinging ad space, but then Paige will do something small to make me realize how lucky I am to be able to share this time with her.
