The Marlinga Family attended their first 4-H Fair this evening. Scott and I have never been, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. The first thing we saw when we walked in were elephants performing in a little circus ring. We stopped to watch the end of the show and then they announced that you could ride the elephants. WHAT?! Scott looked at me like, "No way you are getting me on that thing." I, of course, was thinking, "We HAVE to do this!" So, Paige and I jumped on for our first (and probably only) elephant ride. Crazy. The only bad part is that we had to share our ride with another dad and his daughter. We rode the ferris wheel, ate elephant ears, saw baby animals and even got to pet a few. Paige also had her first pony ride - what a great night!
