IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE...

CHRISTMAS! I can't believe it is already here. I feel like we were just out on the boat in the hot sun and now we are putting up the tree. Scott didn't think we would spend another Christmas in this house, but I had a feeling we wouldn't be gone yet! Our tree is up and we are ready to spend the last Christmas at the Williams Lake Marlingaville. This is the 8th holiday season Scott and I have spent in this house. Our first Christmas tree was a real one we picked out on a dark below freezing night. When we got it home, we had no idea that we had picked out such a large tree. It had to have been at least 11-feet tall and when the branches relaxed, it took up most of the living room. We decorated it with these not so pretty gold lights (free lights that Scott's mom had given him to use) and we had maybe three ornaments on it - including a little snowmobile ornament that still hangs on our tree today. This tree was huge, ugly and it died within a few days of putting it up. We had needles everywhere and our vacuum smelled like a pine tree for almost a year! We ended up throwing it over the deck after Christmas with lights on it and all. Oh the memories! Now look at us... we're parents now and we have resorted to the safe fake tree. Making new memories and with another baby on the way it is sure to get exciting!
